Apple recently held their WWDC event in San Francisco. It's a tradition of Apple to announce new products and updates, and here is a run down of what they announced at their WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference)

First off, the new mobile operating system, iOS7 was announced. It has a brand new feel and design, with many new features and improvements to current features and some new features:
  • Control Center
  • Siri
  • Photos
  • Safari

Sony revealed their slick new Playstation 4 today at E3, a major annual gaming expo held in Los Angeles. The announced prices for release is $US399, and $AUD549. The $399 price was set in promise to undercut Microsoft's Xbox One console, which was also released today.

Sony's CEO Jack Tretton mentioned that 140 games were under development for the console, with 100 to make their debut within the first year of it being on the market.

When Microsoft put their Xbox one on sale later during the year it is expected to be priced at $399 which is $50 more than the expected price for the PS4 ($349). This estimate was made by a gaming estimate, with Microsoft releasing the Xbox 360 for $399 back in November 2005 and Sony's high pricing of the PS3 concluding in a negative impact for the console. Apple has struck a licensing deal with Warner music group last Sunday, this brings the likelihood of apple's free online radio service even closer. This service will be linked to iTunes when it is and if it is released. With the Apple Developer conference fast approaching in the week commencing 10th of June, speculation is ramping up about what will be included within the next iOS release from Apple. What is known is that Apple have plans to improve their social integration, with possible introductions from Flickr and Vimeo.
